MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a variety of little businesses in Cornwall currently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this sort of industry going it does need simply a bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
